Community Grants

KidsFirst has been awarded several key grants that will help us reach Placer children and families in need of a little extra support. These grants will further our mission to treat and prevent child abuse and neglect through education, advocacy and counseling.

Citizens Benefit Fund – In partnership with Roseville Joint Union High School District, this $25,000 grant will be used to provide clinician and case manager support for onsite wellness centers in select area high schools.

Community Development Block Grant – This $15,000 grant will be devoted to trauma-based case management and support services.

Rapid Rehousing Grant – A collaboration between Advocates for Mentally Ill Housing, Stand Up Placer, St. Vincent’s de Paul and KidsFirst, collectively referred to as ASSK, to provide rapid re-housing and retention services to at-risk families. This nearly $19,000 grant will enable KidsFirst to offer utility assistance, assistance with deposits and applications for rentals, emergency housing (1 – 3 nights) and case management and support services to Roseville families in crisis.
